Kim Jin-Young

Kim Hee-Tak
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of upper extremity Sports taping on upper strengthening and smash speed. Upper extremity sports taping was applied to the pectoralis major, which serves to collect shoulder joints responsible for exerting the chief power in smashing, to pronator teres and pronator quadratus responsible for pronating forearms. The mean age for the twenty subjects was 40.8 years, and the mean career was 4.2 years. Statistical data on mean and standard deviation were obtained, and paired t-test was carried out to look for any possible changes in the variable. As a result, after upper extremity sports taping strengthening increased significantly compared to before taping (p<0.05). Also, after upper extremity taping, smash speed increased significantly compared to before taping (p<0.01). This study is expected to help facilitate the diverse application of upper extremity taping to improve the performance of capacity.
